A historic estate, a Modernist spirit
Naveran’s history dates back to 1889, when Pablo Parellada, a visionary entrepreneur who had made his fortune in Argentina, returned to Catalonia, married the daughter of the Marquis of Naveran and settled at Can Parellada, at the height of Catalan Modernism. Its values — a connection with nature, sensitivity, craftsmanship and innovation — continue to inspire Naveran’s philosophy today.
The landscape
In the heart of Penedès
Naveran is an estate with 40 hectares of its own vineyards near Torrelavit, in the heart of Penedès. Its vines grow in limestone-rich soils of marine origin, formed more than 25 million years ago — one of the estate’s most distinctive features.
The landscape, crossed by the Sant Martí and del Mig ravines, has differences in elevation of up to 70 metres between the higher ground and the valley floors. This variety of terrain, soils and aspects allows each grape variety to be grown in the conditions that best bring out its character.

The land
Soils that shape character
On the higher ground, poor, stony soils produce vibrant, structured wines, while the limestone slopes offer a natural balance between freshness and ripeness. On the valley floors, deeper, more fertile soils contribute elegance and finesse.
Xarel·lo, Macabeo, Parellada, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir are farmed organically, with careful management tailored to the characteristics of each plot. This diversity, together with our understanding of the estate, enables us to produce fresh, vibrant and elegant wines and cavas with excellent ageing potential.
